Priced off the drawings, not off a guess
We work the rates from the schedule of quantities and a site visit. The figure we submit is the figure the job can be built for. We don't put in a loss-leader bid and then come back with variation claims.
Built to the approved specification
Cable sizes, conduit types, earthing arrangements and switchgear makes go in exactly as approved. If a substitution can't be avoided, it goes to the departmental engineer in writing first.
Documented so it can be certified
Measurement books, insulation-resistance and earth-continuity readings, material test certificates, as-built markups. We compile these as the work goes along instead of reconstructing them at the end.
